Okanagan villa

This outstanding lake front property started as a small bathroom reno and grew into a two year full overhaul. We had such an incredible time getting to be creative and infusing new life into this family vacation property. The clients had decided to completely rework the floorplan to maximize occupancy for a growing family and a busy social schedule. Our concept for the design was casual luxury, we wanted each space to feel comfortable, lux, and calming.

It was very important with the artwork we sourced that it has emotional draw but also plays well with the incredible Lake views. The lighting in the home differs from space to space, so every textile, texture, artwork, and accessory was handpicked for each individual space. With such expansive ceilings and large walls we wanted to add depth with wall coverings to enhance the spaces.

This home has such classic characteristics and strong architectural details, so the fun part was being able to present them in a new way. We played with colour, shadow, paint, textures, and fixtures. This was one of the most fun projects because it allowed so much room for creative expression. Our amazing clients gave carte blanche which allowed me to go with my gut and follow my instincts. The best part of a project is having homeowners that we get to know and truly understand their wants and needs. Then show it back to them in a way they never expected, but always knew they wanted.
